NOVA's role is to have an overview of the victim's perspective as they move through the criminal justice system. By utilizing NOVA's police interview accompaniment, the victim has support during the process of questioning and gathering information in order to prosecute a case. As legal questions arise, the advocate is there to provide information and advocate and assist a victim through the criminal justice system
