NOVA’s programs for parents assist in developing communication skills and trust with their children so they are comfortable discussing issues of safety. The following is a list and description of the programs we will deliver on-site to parents.

Bully Prevention: A Parent’s Guide

This program explores why bullies bully and the  effects it has on their victims. Incorporated are practical, effective tips and  resources to help children. For more information see our bullying page.

What Do I Say Now?

This program teaches parents how to talk to their children in a comfortable and appropriate way about touching rules. NO-GO-Tell Story Book (available for purchase) (pdf 311KB)

Child Abuse Prevention Training

Darkness to Light’s Stewards of Children is a two-hour training designed to educate adults on how to recognize, prevent, and react responsibly to the reality of child sexual abuse, emphasizing child safety as every adult’s responsibility.

Internet Safety (Teacher & Parent)
