With a planned gift, you can combine your desire to give to charity with your overall financial, tax, and estate planning goals. Whether you would like to put your donation to work today or benefit NOVA after your lifetime, you can find a charitable plan that lets you provide for your family and support NOVA.
A bequest is one of the easiest gifts to make. With the help of an attorney, you can include language in your will or trust specifying a gift to be made to NOVA as part of your estate plan.
Charitable Gift Annuity
As a donor, you can make a gift to NOVA using cash, securities and possibly other assets. In return, you would become eligible to take a partial tax deduction for your donation, plus you would receive a fixed stream of income (set amount or fixed percentage) from NOVA for the remainder of your life.
Donors may give a life insurance policy that is no longer needed or name NOVA as a beneficiary on a new or existing policy.
Donors may choose to designate NOVA as the beneficiary of a qualified pension, IRA, Keogh, or employee stock option plan, giving you the opportunity to make a large future gift while reducing your taxable estate.
Charitable Lead Trust
With a Charitable Lead Trust, you can transfer your cash or property to a trust that makes payments to NOVA for a period of time. At the end of the designated time period, the assets used to fund the trust are returned to you or your designees.
Charitable Remainder Trust
A Charitable Remainder Trust offers a way for you to make a future gift to NOVA, after first providing income for yourself and/or others you name.
We ask that you kindly notify NOVA of any planned gift in advance by contacting Angela M.
