The Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA) is dedicated to reducing the incidence of crime through prevention education programs for Bucks County schools, community groups and professionals. Our classes and training seminars are tailored to the audience, whether they are elementary school or college students, teachers or parents, professionals working in healthcare or law enforcement industries or groups of seniors in the local community center.

Prevention Programs

NOVA offers education programs designed for children of all ages, Pre-K through high school. Providing appropriate learning experiences that help children and teens recognize safety issues, make good decisions and encourage community with adults.

Programs for Elementary Students
Programs for Teens & Young Adults

Children and Youth with Developmental Disabilities

NOVA offers multi-session programming on personal safety and healthy relationships for children and youth with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Topics are age and developmentally appropriate.

Parents

NOVA’s prevention programs for parents and caregivers foster collaboration in addressing important social issues youth face such as sexual abuse, bullying, cyber bullying and digital safety.

Teachers

NOVA’s trainings and workshops for teachers and school staff provide skill-based workshops that promote prevention strategies to reduce the incidence of crime and victimization.

Community Education

Prevention happens throughout the community.  NOVA provides on-site workshops, seminars, trainings and overviews to meet community needs.

Professional Trainings

NOVA provides high quality trainings for professionals to enhance knowledge and skills in working with victims of crime and to reduce violence in Bucks County. NOVA staff are experts in a variety of topics to provide high quality and practical trainings, workshops and keynotes. Along with an extensive list of established trainings, NOVA can also customize and develop or tailor trainings to meet the needs of your request.

Mandated Reporting of Child Abuse Training

NOVA is a recognized leader in Bucks County for mandated reporter training. NOVA’s training is a state-approved curriculum to train mandated reporters in how to recognize and report child abuse; respond to suspected child abuse and support victims and their families. This training is approved under The Department of Human Services for ACT 31 compliance under the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape. This training is approved for ACT 48 credits in Pennsylvania.

Professional Conferences

NOVA hosts yearly conferences to bring education and skills to allied professionals and community members on a wide variety of violence prevention related topics and social issues.
